Description

Under direction of the Director of Technology, the Computer/Network Technician I position is generally responsible for the care and maintenance of the district’s growing fleet of student devices.  Chromebooks and iPads are the primary student devices used in the district.  The position also assists the Computer/Network Technician II with duties as needed and directed.  Supervision is not a responsibility of this position.  Communication with other technicians, teachers and principals is vital to the success of this position.  This position reports to the Director of Technology.

 

Examples of Work (Non-exhaustive list):

 

1. Maintain Student Devices
     A. Help teachers and staff members with technology issues related to all technology
     B. Repair devices and maintain a log of the location of devices
     C. Install and maintain district software
     D. Keep a stock of all needed supplies to maintain system functionality
     E. Coordinate with the copier supply company to repair and maintain copiers in each building


2. Other Information Technology duties
     A. Assist Computer/Network Technician II when needed or directed
     B. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with district and school staff


3. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or Superintendent

 

 

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Experience in information technology

 

Special Requirements:
-Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
